Speakers announced for the anniversary edition of AMI’S Polyolefin Additives Conference

Polyolefins lead the global plastics markets in terms of production volumes and the diversity of their applications. For example, polyethylene pipes are gaining share in construction, agricultural films are transforming crop yields in arid regions, polyolefin packaging is preserving foodstuffs and minimising waste, while the use of polypropylene as a metal replacement is reducing weight in automotive manufacturing.
The different properties of polyethylene and polypropylene materials are obtained by careful selection of resin, additives and processing methods. AMI’s Polyolefin Additives 2017 brings together industry experts to debate the optimal resins, additives and compounds for a wide range of end uses from packaging films to automotive components.
The two-day conference programme will commence with an exploration of the current market environment, including an update on polyolefin demand from AMI’s Research Director, Mr. Andrew Reynolds. Sessions will follow on nucleating agents, stabilisers, anti-oxidants and elastomers, as well as papers covering a variety of additives, functional fillers and reinforcements for tailoring and enhancing polyolefin properties.
The programme will feature leading additives and polyolefin suppliers including Borealis, Adeka, Sinopec, Croda, Omya and Addivant, as well as testing and research institutes and end-users, who together offer the audience an industry-wide view of the additives market.
Polyolefin Additives 2017 will boast a truly international audience with companies joining from across the globe, from Asia to Europe and North America.  It also brings together representatives of the entire supply chain, offering unrivalled opportunities to network, exchange experience and learn through interaction with colleagues, suppliers, customers and competitors.
