Arkema has consolidated its Rilsan powder product range with new grades specifically adapted to the coating of outdoor furniture, responding to stricter requirements in coastal areas and in regions with extreme weather conditions.

The company stated it has implemented new grades to address furniture suppliers looking for coating solutions that can better withstand abrasion and corrosive environments.

The new grades are made of Polyamide 11, which is 100% derived from castor oil, a raw material of renewable origin, therefore helping reduce the environmental impact as well as CO2 equivalent emissions by up to 30 % compared to liquid paints. Arkema has developed a dark grey grade, T gris 9102 MAC (RAL 7021), and, in the coming months will offer a new aluminium type colour grade.
