Clariant costs

Clariant has announced global price increases of up to 15% for its emulsion chemicals portfolio. The price adjustments are required to compensate for rising costs for all principal raw materials during the first half of 2010, as well as increased transportation and energy costs. It said that Clariant’s Emulsion Business has absorbed significant cost increases through production optimisation and efficiency measures, however, recent cost developments have left no other alternative than to increase prices. Clariant customers will be contacted individually regarding the changes.
