BASF is further strengthening its production footprint in Asia Pacific with a state-of-the-art coating additives production plant in Nanjing, China. At the plant, BASF will produce coating additives for the Chinese and Asia Pacific markets. This investment allows BASF to support customers’ growth and emphasises BASF’s commitment to meet the strong growth in the region.
The facility will be 100% owned by BASF and is adjacent to BASF-YPC Co Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture between BASF and Sinopec and will initially focus on the production of solvent-based additives under the BASF brand Efka, mainly for industrial and automotive coatings.
