Ebecryl 854 is the latest addition to Allnex’s portfolio of energy curable polyester acrylates. The resin opens new possibilities to wood coating systems through balanced flexibility / hardness and good flow, even when used in combination with a high content of fillers.
New Ebecryl 854 is the first resin in Allnex’s product range of polyester acrylates, which offers an optimal balance of elasticity and hardness properties. Its good abrasion resistance makes this resin ideal for use as a sealer. A full coating system, of which the sealer is based on Ebecryl 854, also proves to have a very good coin and stain resistance, which makes it particularly attractive for use in furniture and parquet coatings.
Furthermore, it offers excellent flow, even when used in combination with a high level of fillers. This characteristic offers formulators ease-of-formulation and the possibility to efficiently achieve targeted coating properties. The resin is also easy-to-handle and ideal for roller applications.
"Ebecryl 854 is the perfect addition to our line of polyester acrylates for wood. It has been designed to achieve balanced hardness and flexibility properties and shows good flow. This makes it clearly stand out from many other polyester acrylates on the market,” said Marie-Astrid Goes, Global Marketing Manager at Allnex.
"We invite formulators to reach out to us to learn more about our complete portfolio of polyester acrylates for energy curable coatings. With an expanding choice of resins to choose from, we are sure they will find a solution that meets their performance requirements,” she concluded.
