ASK Chemicals, a global supplier of high-performance industrial resins and materials, has implemented successful measures to save gas and electricity at its European flagship plant in Wülfrath in 2022. Thanks to targeted optimisation measures, the Wülfrath plant has succeeded in saving 5 million kWh of gas and 368,000 kWh of electricity, which corresponds to a reduction of 1,200 metric tonnes of CO2.
This success is the result of process optimisations in production and efficiency improvements in building heating, as well as the introduction of e-forklifts in plant logistics. The use of electric motors has halved diesel consumption there compared with the previous year.
Michael Mack, Head of European Manufacturing, said: “At ASK Chemicals, we are firmly committed to a sustainable future. The successful implementation of energy savings at the Wülfrath site shows that our commitment to a sustainable future is bearing results.”
