Axalta takes part in IMI Driving Change programme

31 May 2016

Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings, is part of Driving Change, a series of four, in-depth online programmes by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), produced in partnership with ITN Productions, ITN’s bespoke production hub.

Each of the four programmes – Business Opportunities, Powering the Future, Synchronising with Customers and Innovation – feature key industry interviews and news-style reports along with sponsored editorial profiles.

Steve Nash, IMI CEO, says, "Driving Change brings compelling reports on what industry leaders are doing to keep pace with change.”

Axalta’s four-minute video, which is introduced by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky, is part of the Powering the Future programme. It centres on the Axalta Refinish Training Academy, in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, where annually almost 300 refinishers receive specialised training from one of Axalta’s three global premium refinish brands – Cromax®, Spies Hecker and Standox.

Anthony Cashel, Marketing Manager for Axalta in the UK and Ireland, says, "Axalta has a rich heritage, and 150 years experience in coatings, so we’re passionate about what we do. And nowhere is that more clearly apparent than at the Axalta Refinish Academy in the UK. We feel it is important to focus on more than just the practical and theoretical training; it’s about education. We want to ensure not only that our products and services are used correctly so they perform optimally and deliver exceptional results, but also that environment, health and safety regulations are understood and adhered to. And more importantly that legislation is complied with. We hope our passion for innovative, sustainable and durable coatings, for today and the future, has come across in this video.”
