On the 4th July, the BCF celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Society of British Printing Ink Manufacturers joining forces with the Paintmakers Association to form the British Coatings Federation in July 1993.
The wallcoverings sector joined BCF in 2005.
The celebration coincided with the recent opening of the BCF’s new home in Coventry ‘Spectra House’, a dedicated building with its own meeting rooms and excellent transport links at the heart of the country.
The celebration was held during a BCF Printing Ink Technical Committee meeting, attended by over 20 printing ink members.
The milestone was marked with the unveiling of a ceremonial plaque and an anniversary cake.
CEO of the BCF Tom Bowtell said: "Printing inks are a very important sector to the BCF, making up over 20% of the membership.
"We continue to campaign on key issues for printing ink members such as achieving a positive Brexit outcome for industry and promoting best practice when using printing inks, especially when related to food packaging.”
