AkzoNobel has launched the latest edition of its annual global study of colour trends, providing added impetus for the company’s recently launched Human Cities initiative, which has colour as one of its main pillars.
Unveiled in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, earlier this month, ‘Colour Futures 2015’ is spearheaded by the Colour of the Year, Copper Orange, which was selected by an invited panel of independent design and colour experts following in-depth research into emerging worldwide trends.
"Colour has a universal impact on our cities, lifestyles and living environment,” explained Ruud Joosten, MD of AkzoNobel’s Decorative Paints business. "As experts in colour, it means that forecasting and studying trends is a vital part of our business, because it enables us to stay one step ahead of our customers’ needs.”
Now in its 12th year, Colour Futures underlines AkzoNobel’s wealth of colour expertise and understanding of the transformative power of colour and plays a critical role in its Human Cities initiative, which aims to make city life more energising and vibrant for people.
