Emerald Polymer Additives, a business group of Emerald Performance Materials, has named John Zuppo as president of its Polymer Additives and Nitriles business group. Zuppo will report to the executive committee of the Emerald Board of Directors.
Zuppo has been serving the Emerald’s Polymer Additives and Nitriles business group over the last five years, most recently as Commercial Vice President. During his tenure, Zuppo was instrumental building a more market-focused commercial organization, adding new key capabilities in R&D, making several investments in manufacturing, improving the performance of the business and laying the groundwork for continued growth.
Previously, Zuppo served as Vice President of procurement for all of Emerald’s business groups. Prior to joining Emerald, Zuppo served as director of direct raw material procurement for Ferro. He also served in a variety of roles at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co, including procurement, business development, sales & marketing and R&D. Zuppo has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Akron and an MBA from Case Western Reserve Weatherhead School of Management, Cleveland.
