Lanxess has won ‘2015 Best CSR Award’ from ‘Salute to China Dream’ – the 4th China Finance Summit in recognition of the company’s leadership in fulfilling corporate social responsibility and developing in an environment-compatible way. In 2014, Lanxess received the summit’s ‘Best Green Company Award’.
China Finance Summit, initiated in 2012, is organised by many domestic financial and mass media to provide a platform for sharing business intelligence. The Summit, held recently in Beijing, focused on the best practices of corporates and entrepreneurs in order to explore the new momentum for China’s economic transformation and development.
In response to China’s ‘new normal’, Lanxess is committed to sharing its know-how in the chemical field and advanced technology with suppliers, customers and business partners along the value chain to facilitate the transformation and upgrade of China’s chemical industry.
It has worked with the China Petroleum & Chemical Industry Federation to hold HSE workshops at its China manufacturing sites, sharing insights on environment protection, health and safety, as well as Lanxess’ approach to sustainability with key stakeholders including local government, suppliers and customers and industry associations, in order to improve the technology and safety management of the industry as a whole, as well as to advocate sustainable practices for China’s chemical industry.
