Two new paint factories will be again equipped with Kreis-Dissolvers. Following the bulk orders in 2008, 2011 and 2014, Niemann has again succeeded in receiving the fourth bulk order from the Indian market leader, company Asian Paints, for the delivery of 21 units large dissolvers (315kW/200 kW). This is the largest order in the Niemann company´s history. Nevertheless, intensive negotiations were again necessary for which general manager Frank Niemann and sales and process engineering specialist Helmut Diddens have travelled to Mumbai.
The technical design, capability and reliability of the machines from Melle/Germany are so convincing for the major customer that Niemann once again received the order. However, the Indians are always searching for a better price and have lately tried to replace the machines, which have been supplied so far by Niemann by a cheaper competitor (German/Chinese). After the failed attempt with a competitor machine they have again purchased 21 units large dissolvers (315kW/200 kW) from company Niemann. Niemann convinced the Indians with a better quality in the execution, excellent quality of the Niemann-service technicians on site in India and an unusual counselling for the sector regarding dispersing technique and paint formulation. The Niemann chief process engineer Helmut Diddens has more than 30 years of experience in this area and is a recognised expert for years in this field. In September 2016 a consultation visit has taken place, where Mr Diddens has trained the Indian technicians on the latest dispersing technique with Kreis-Dissolver and recipe adaptations.
5000th machine shortly before the despatch – presentation during the exhibition
In 1963 the first Kreis-Dissolver was sold to Tom Winkler and in this year the 5000th machine will be delivered. At our exhibition stand during the recent European Coatings Show, the 5000th machine was presented and the machine will be shortly delivered to the long-standing customer Pauly Paint N.V. S.A. (Belgium).
Continuously expanding – third expansion of the production halls – automated storage-system
The third expansion of the production by 1600m² has already been completed. This further capacity expansion was necessary due to the purchase of a new large CNC boring and milling machine, as well as the planned installation of a fully automatic pallet high rack warehouse (1250 pallet spaces) and an automatic small-parts warehouse. The logistics facility is currently taken into operation and will be the future logistics centre for the further digitalisation of the production process in Neuenkirchen with complete connection to the ERP-system.
Wilhelm Niemann – Machine Factory
The demand for Kreis-Dissolver and Kreis-Basket-Mills is currently at the highest level, which Niemann could ever register in the company´s history. The capacity utilisation at the factory in Melle-Neuenkirchen with currently approx 160 employees is already ensured until Q3, 2017. The high-quality machines enjoy an excellent reputation internationally. The export rate is approx 70%. In the area of the dispersion, fine grinding and mixing technologies Niemann belongs to the global market leaders.
