Macmillan Manchester and HMG Paints paint the town green

Macmillan Manchester have entered a new partnership with the UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer, HMG Paints Ltd, in an exciting new venture built on their companies shared ethos.

In 2016 Macmillan Manchester worked alongside HMG’s team of experienced colour specialists to produce a taste of Manchester through a new decorative paints colour collection. Proceeds from the Manchester inspired colour range will help fund the work of the Macmillan team across Greater Manchester, the partnership will also see HMG donate paint to the Macmillan Solutions service.

The exclusive range utilises HMG’s extensive colour knowledge, along with current trends and popular culture themes, to bring together a range of decorative coatings that reflect their Manchester themed names, and are of the highest standards in colour and quality. From the fluffy greys of Manchester clouds to the warm yellows of the iconic Manchester bee’s the palette of colours reflects Manchester’s history and culture.

The new colour collection, which you can view online at www.hmgpaint.com/products/macmillan, will be available from the HMG Paints Shop on Collyhurst Road in Manchester as well as via its nationwide distributor network. "We’re delighted to be creating this partnership with Macmillan Manchester and to support the great work they do across Greater Manchester.” Said John Falder, HMG Paints Managing Director.

The fantastic Manchester Macmillan Solutions team have trained volunteers who can provide support services in peoples own homes. Volunteers can be called upon for help with a wide variety of tasks including companionship, telephone support, gardening, shopping, transport to and from appointments and help around the house.

In recognition of Macmillan’s famous coffee mornings the company is looking for the public’s help in order to crown the perfect cup of tea colour in the #GBTeaDebate.
