HMG Paints releases new decorative coatings

26 April 2018

The UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer, HMG Paints is utilising it’s 88 years of experience in the coatings industry to launch a specialist range of decorative coatings, including a new Colour Collection.

The ‘Essentials’ collection follows a string of successes on a number of decorative projects, launching the range in to the market following requests from commercial and domestic appliers who require products that provide excellent coverage, a great finish and are easy to apply.

"We’ve utilised the HMG Research & Development teams’ experience and feedback from decorators to develop products that offer easy application properties, high opacity, excellent colour retention and a high-quality finish.” Said Paddy Dyson, HMG Paints Marketing Manager.

"With a focus on quality and not cost savings, we’ve been able to utilise the latest technology and quality pigments to create a range that provides professionals with a premium quality product.”

The durable water-based coatings have been developed over a number of years and have undergone extensive trials and testing.

The range has been specified on large-scale projects, such as the renovation of Manchester Central Library and Heritage projects such as Grade II listed buildings.

The paints were also put to use in high traffic environments such as corridors, offices and automotive workshops at the Prodrive Headquarters in Banbury, home to Aston Martin Racing.

HMG is also offering colour matching expertise and its own Essentials Colour Collection, which takes inspiration from their extensive colour archives.

The company has also started to run training courses alongside decorators for the new products (pictured) and already has a six month waiting list for the course.

"We’ve always worked alongside the users of our paint to provide training and we’ve enjoyed having our first decorative cohorts visit our training centre in Manchester to get hands on with the Essentials Collection,” commented Paddy.

The range is available for purchase from HMG’s Trade Counter and distribution partners throughout the UK or through the company’s sales order office.
