Nippon Paint (USA) Inc (NP-USA), a subsidiary of Nippon Paint Co Ltd, Osaka, Japan, has completed the sale of the powder coating division of NPA Coatings Inc (NPAC), to Protech Chemicals Ltd. NPAC, a subsidiary of NP-USA, is located in Cleveland, Ohio and its powder coating division has been in operation since 1991 under the name of Seibert Powder Coatings.
Terms of the asset sale were not disclosed. Protech will continue to manufacture powder paint at the Cleveland facility and has hired approximately 90% of the Seibert employees.
