Perstorp, a world leader in speciality chemicals, such as Capa, highlighted, at last month’s UTECH Asia/PU China 2014, its growing commitment to China as the company’s production platform in Zibo is being expanded to include a new Neopentyl Glycol (Neo) plant. The investment represents a triumph of Chinese and Swedish engineering not only in the production of high quality Neo but in terms of plant and environmental safety.
Moreover, Perstorp in China has also re-enforced its sales organisation in order to better meet local customer needs. As a well-established brand in the Chinese market for more than 25 years, Perstorp has been producing TMP (Trimethylol-propane) in China since 2008.
Dr Bob Wasson, Perstorp Sales & Business Development Director Asia, BU Caprolactones, said: "Perstorp is one of the world leaders in caprolactones, both in terms of global capacity, as well as the scientific development of this versatile and unique polyol technology. We continue to view China and Asia Pacific as strong and developing growth markets for our polyurethane offer.”
Dr Wasson added: "Our new expanded sales organisation in China gives us a specialised technical resource dedicated to Perstorp’s speciality offering in order to meet the needs in the emerging speciality PU market in China.”
