PPG’s SEM Products business is expanding its sundries offering with the VCS™ Versatile Cup System for the automotive refinish market. The VCS hybrid system, which includes multi-functional cups, liners and lids, combines the benefits of vented hard cups and sealed liner systems, helping to increase body shop productivity.
"Until now, collision centres were forced to weigh the benefits of the two systems and choose one over the other,” said Meghan Barrera, PPG Business Director, Allied Products, Automotive Refinish. "The VCSsystem offers ultimate versatility – most notably with vented liners – allowing technicians to open or close the vent as needed. Vented spray delivers optimal fluid flow, while sealing the drip-resistant vent allows technicians and painters to spray hard-to-reach areas from any angle, even upside down.”
The VCS system reduces the amount of cleaning solvent needed, optimises fluid flow for consistent colour matching and eliminates the need to mix in one cup and transfer to another for spraying. The result is fewer steps, reduced repair time and increased productivity.
