Solvent recycling plants suitable for Industry 4.0 in the paint industry

17 February 2017

OFRU Recycling is now offering recycling plants for integration into modern SCADA process control systems, enabling Thin Client controls of machines for example to be operated now from an iPad or comparable devices as well, or maintained by remote control. The solvent recycling plants have been designed for interconnectivity with different participants so that operators can implement state-of-the-art production standards, even at and between completely different locations if required.
A paint manufacturer can thus, for example, configure any product directly on the website of a chemical or solvent manufacturer, and can also order and pay for it. The actual production process, including solvent recovery, begins after the order has been made. If the solvent to be processed is to be changed for example, the heating temperature of the plant is altered completely automatically in order to match the altered boiling point.
A recycling plant in the ASC series provides a suitable means of meeting this requirement.
A further major advantage is that such a recycling plant can be serviced more easily and quickly, even remotely. Industry 4.0 Standard can be easily integrated if required into the planning of the recycling plant.
Such possibilities are particularly attractive to the paint and coating industry, not least because the plants involved are often larger. Greater amounts of raw materials as well as solvents are therefore used as well. It is therefore particularly important for the operator that the plants should always function satisfactorily, correctly and smoothly without causing any unnecessary loss of production time.
OFRU Recycling will be exhibiting at the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg Germany, 4th April 2017, in hall 5, stand no. 411 where an ASC-150 recycling plant will also be on display. This plant can process more than 1000 litres per day dependent on the solvent and degree of soiling.
