26 May 2022

The Shepherd Color Company has appointed Chris Manning as President and General Manager following the retirement of John Marten after 26 years of service. Chris has been the Commercial Sales Director overseeing the Global Sales teams & Distribution channels, Customer Experience teams, and Marketing & Technical Support Groups since 2007.

Chris has been with Shepherd Color for 20 years and holds a Ph.D. in Colour Chemistry. Before the Commercial Sales Director role, he was the Marketing Manager for the plastics market. Previously, Chris lived and worked in England and France, working for large multi-national coatings and textile companies, holding positions in Marketing, Global Product Management, and Technical Development.

To streamline the business development strategies for Shepherd Color, two new Commercial Segment Leaders have been appointed to replace the Commercial Sales Director role. The company has promoted Harshal Sanghani to Shepherd Color Commercial Segment Leader and Mike Musick to Shepherd Technologies Commercial Segment Leader.

Harshal Sanghani has been with Shepherd Color since 2003, holding several key roles of Product Manager in Sales and Marketing, Process Development Leader, Process Engineer, and Senior Project Engineer in Operations. In his most recent Product Manager role, Harshal directed efforts to improve the overall product portfolio and new product development process, and led the Shepherd Technologies team to facilitate new business opportunities.

Joining Shepherd Color in 2002, Mike Musick held key roles as Lead Development Chemist for the Dynamix® and Starlight® product lines and the polymer enhanced pigments for display products. In 2012 Mike helped initiate the Shepherd Technologies division and recently served as the Shepherd Technologies R&D Manager, leading the team in developing new products for laser direct structuring (LDS) additive technologies used in consumer electronics.

Due to significant growth in the pigments market, Shepherd Color has numerous open positions to fulfill. Interested candidates should visit shepherdcolor.com/careers to review and apply.
