Vink Chemicals, a specialist in biocides for the coatings sector, develops and produces its formulations exclusively in Germany, but distributes them worldwide. Customers in the paint and coatings industry from the MENA region are supported directly in the United Arab Emirates by expert Chief Vijay Nair, Marketing Director MEA & APAC at Vink Chemicals. He will also represent the company at the Middle East Coatings Show, to be held at the World Trade Center in Dubai, from September 27-29, 2021.
"The show provides an excellent platform to meet and discuss with international customers and distributors about innovations and market trends in the paints and coatings industry," says Chief Vijay Nair. "Active ingredients for in-can and film preservation naturally have a major role to play there as well." One of Vink Chemicals’ main focuses is the formulation of biocides based on isothiazolinones. These substances are among the few preservatives that can be used against a wide range of harmful organisms. In addition, they can be combined with each other – preventing bacteria from developing resistance to the biocides.
For in-can and film preservation in the paint and coatings industry, Vink Chemicals has developed the active ingredients CMIT/MIT, MIT and BIT on the basis of isothiazolinones, which are highly efficient even in low concentrations. The biocide experts also offer other formulations for film preservation as well as corresponding application-specific chemical additives.
In addition to these active ingredients, Vink Chemicals offers a selection of further biocidal actives and formulations in the fields of technical biocides and oil and gas additives, which are also important for the region. These include the Vinkocide™, parmetol®, grotan®, grotanol® and grotamar® brands, which not only cover in-can preservation, but are also used, for example, as microbiocidal system cleaners to sanitise recirculating systems in production plants or as preservatives to control microbial growth downstream.
Vink Chemicals will be represented at the Middle East Coatings Show Dubai 2021 by distributors EuroChem (stand H06) and Rainbow Chemical (stand AB04/AB05).
