X-Rite launches new fundamentals of instrumentation and quality control seminar this spring in 10 US cities and Canada to teach principles of colour management.
X-Rite, Incorporated is taking a new training programme on the road this spring to 10 US cities and Canada that supplements the company’s popular Fundamentals of Color and Appearance (FOCA) by providing hands-on training on sample measurement, data collection and reporting for quality control.
The Fundamentals of Instrumentation and Quality Control (FIQC) one-day seminar is a response to customers who have a working knowledge of colour theory and want to learn more about how to prepare samples, interpret data, set tolerances and store and retrieve data. Both seminars are aimed at helping quality control and assurance professionals, lab technicians, parts suppliers, pre-media and digital pressroom personnel and manufacturing specifiers on how to evaluate and approve colours in their workflows.
Experts at X-Rite Color Services will teach the day-long seminars starting in February in Chicago; Nashville, Tenn.; Cincinnati; Clemson, S.C.; Rochester, N.Y.; Baltimore; Los Angeles; St. Louis; Toronto, Canada; Milwaukee, Wis. and Portland, Ore. X-Rite is a world leading designer and manufacturer of colour measurement instrumentation and software, as well as a provider of related training and support services. The corporation is the parent company of Pantone LLC, known worldwide for its standard language of accurate colour communication in the graphic arts and other industries.
For the complete agenda and online registration, visit http://www.xrite.com/seminar or call +1 888 439 4403 to speak with seminar coordinators and register by phone.
The cost of the FOCA seminar is $595, and the cost of the FIQC seminar is US$895. Those who register for either seminar by February 24 will receive a 10% discount. X-Rite is offering a bundled price of US$1295 for those who register for both seminars. The seminars run each day from 9 am to 4 pm and continental breakfasts and lunches are provided.
"These seminars are particularly effective and fun because we encourage hands-on participation," said Joel Schick, Business Development Manager of X-Rite Color Services. "Attendees are asked to bring their own samples so they can develop best practices in measuring the colours of their products to improve and monitor workflows. We love it when the attendees come prepared with questions about their quality control needs."
All attendees of the seminar tour are eligible to win an X-Rite CAPSURE handheld colour-matching tool, which will be given away to five lucky individuals at the completion of the tour.
