Zircotec Group acquires Performance 1 Coatings

Performance 1 Coatings (P1C), the exhaust coating and thermal management specialist popular with tuners and the performance aftermarket, has been acquired by Zircotec Group. The takeover, which includes 100% of the P1C business, widens the breadth of Zircotec Group’s product range, which now includes high quality performance coatings at every price point. The buy-out will enable P1C and its performance aftermarket customers to benefit from future product enhancement made possible by Zircotec’s technology, OE-expertise and extensive in-house R&D facilities.

Zircotec Group’s expansion also includes the restructuring of its Fast Fox brand, which will be brought in-house. It provides a one-stop-shop online retail solution for thermal management requirements. Aimed at motorcycle and car enthusiasts seeking market-leading heat management products for a complete range of applications. The mail-order specialist will be able to offer carefully selected, proven products that are trusted by cross-market professionals and suitable for a range of budgets.

Zircotec Group, based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, is an OE supplier to companies including prestigious vehicle and motorcycle manufacturers. Its market-leading thermal barrier ceramic coating is applied by plasma torch, which fires the patented compound at 10,000oC and twice the speed of sound. The unique process ensures optimal coverage, durability and advanced thermal management in even the most demanding environments.
