Sun Chemical unveils Red Shade Violet 55

09 June 2015

Coatings formulators can now expand their styling colour gamut with the introduction of Sun Chemical’s new red shade Quindo Violet 55 Quinacridone pigment.

The intense colour of this shade is 10 units more chromatic than a similar shade Pigment Violet 19 and exhibits high transparency, as well as an attractive neutral flop. Compatible in waterborne and solventborne systems, the shade offers excellent fastness properties and strong durability and resistance to solvents.

"Our customers are looking for pigments that will differentiate them from their competitors and grow their business,” said Scott Heitzman, Global Product Manager of High Performance Pigments, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments. "Our unique red shade Violet 55 is just another example of the differentiation that our customers are looking for. As the market leader in Quinacridone pigments, we are able to provide our coating customers with more colour options than anyone else. Our wide range of Quinacridone offerings – some of the most versatile high performance pigments on the market – will provide customers with the highest quality pigment and the most diversified colour offering.”

From the brilliant orange shade of Fastogen Super Red 209 to the now expanded colour gamut of red shade Violet 55, Sun Chemical offers the widest colour index range of Quinacridone pigments on the market and can be used in every coating industry.
