A new terminal being built at a major Norwegian airport will be protected from extreme temperatures by a specialist system supplied by Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings.
Terminal 3 at Bergen Airport, Flesland, Norway, is a NOK2bn project, due to complete by 2017, consisting of 4000t of steel structures, which will double capacity of the airport.
Sherwin-Williams has been appointed by contractor Ruukki Construction and will provide both fire protection coatings and anti-corrosion protection, covering a total of 30,000m2. Products include Epigrip C400V3 zinc phosphate primer, Firetex FX2000 intumescent coating and Reistex C237 sheen finish.
