A Profile of the Chinese Paint Industry

10 April 2015

IRL is delighted to announce the publication of a report, A Profile of the Chinese Paint Industry, 7th Edition.

After four years of rapid growth, the Chinese paint market started to slow down in 2013 due to the difficult global economic situation and slowdown of certain industries. However, the demand for paints and coatings in the construction, automotive, appliance, and infrastructural sectors continued to grow. Therefore, the total paint market generally grew moderately in 2013.

Containing a wide range of 2013 market statistics and an extensive collection of data on coatings production and end-use markets in China, this is a volume not to be missed. Data is provided for the base year of 2013, with forecasts for 2018. All volume data is quoted in tonnes.

The market forecast section draws together all of the trends and factors which are expected to drive the markets over the next five years. More detailed information on the contents of the report is given on the right.

All of the research for this study has been undertaken by our Beijing office and is comprised of a combination of interviews with senior executives in the Chinese paint and coatings industry and newly-available published statistics as well as end user industry data. The research was undertaken during the period October to December 2014.
