Marubeni Corporation and Azelis today, July 31, 2012, announced a joint co-operation agreement to work together in Asia.
This win-win deal is seen to considerably strengthen both parties and will help to further drive their shared ambition for rapid expansion and sustainable business development in the region.
Many complimentary synergies exist between the two companies to provide opportunities for future profitable growth for principals, customers and the two partners.
Quote from Marubeni: "We are confident that the combination of Marubeni’s 150 years of trading experience across Asia with the value added distribution business model of Europe’s leading specialty chemicals distributor will result in effective market expansion. Specifically, customers in Asia gain efficient access to European specialty chemicals and the technical application support Azelis is renowned for in Europe.”
Joris Coppye CEO, Azelis confirms: "This partnership with Marubeni allows our Principals unparalleled penetration into Asia’s growth markets, in particular in China. Finding a reliable distribution partner who provides in-depth market insights to define the winning approach to the market has been a challenge for western specialty producers. Marubeni and Azelis aim to change that, by providing a sound business platform for growth, coupled with an innovative approach to the market.”
Initially the co-operation will focus on China. With a large number of Japanese corporations operating production transfers into China, this growth market is of particular importance to the co-operation.
