Sun Chemical was announced as Innovator of the Year 2015 at the annual Innovation Excellence Awards at Stationers’ Hall in London on June 29. Sun Chemical beat more than 15 finalists to pick up the top award, for low migration digital inks for food packaging from its SunJet business, based in Midsomer Norton.
Another BCF printing inks member, Solar Inks, also won an Innovation Excellence Award for ‘Earthinks’, which is a range of flexographic and screen printing inks, based on natural and renewable raw materials for various markets and end uses.
A third finalist from the ink sector was Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems, which received a Certificate of Nomination.
