Users will soon start to see a new set of hazard warning labels on paint and ink products, as well as other chemical-containing goods. These new red-bordered diamonds will replace the more familiar orange squares. The new EU-wide CLP labelling scheme has applied to single substances since 2010 – so you will already have seen the new labels on white spirit for example – but is required for mixtures by June 1, 2015.
Wayne Smith, BCF’s Director of Regulatory Affairs, will be running a Webinar to explain these changes on CLP requirements. This will be of particular interest to downstream companies in the supply chain.
The Webinar takes place on Thursday, January 29 at midday and will last for approximately one hour. Price: £30 + VAT for BCF and other association members, £40 + VAT for non members. You can register at www.coatings.org.uk/industry
