Clariant prioritises pigment producers’ need for simplicity without compromising on high-performance with its one-stop modular system of Dispersogen dispersing agents for pigment preparations.
The modular system uses four non-APEO containing / low VOC dispersing agents to cover every organic pigment and carbon black used in waterborne pigment concentrates. This supports the coatings industry’s environment-focused trend towards waterborne coatings and finding solutions for APEO and VOC regulations.
The system simplifies production by reducing inventory and production materials. At the same time manufacturers can create a broad variety of pigment pastes with high tinting strength. The dispersing agents allow high pigment concentrations and create low viscosity for better free-flowing behaviour and uniform dispersion.
The four products allow for the different chemical nature of pigments: Dispersogen PTS for the biggest variety of pigments; Dispersogen LFS for difficult to disperse pigments; Dispersogen LFH, the acid form of Dispersogen LFS; and Dispersogen 4387, which is partly based on renewable resources, offering high dispersing power for benzimidazole pigments and others.
