Royal DSM, a global science-based company in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living, has launched a new resin, NeoCryl®HP-4000 for the EMEA market, to drive the performance of wall paints for high-humidity areas. Thanks to its perfect water vapour permeability and excellent water resistance properties, as well as its low volatile organic compound (VOC) content, NeoCryl® HP-4000 raises the bar for aesthetic and functional performance, processability, and sustainability.
With standards of living rising around the world, consumers are looking for decorative coatings with ever-higher performance. In particular, as underlined by consumer behaviour, there is growing demand to solve moisture-related issues. Nevertheless, currently available commercial solutions too often deliver poor functional performance and low resistance to moisture and stains. To address these issues, DSM has leveraged its long experience in innovative resin technology for the decorative EMEA market to develop NeoCryl® HP-4000.
This all-in-one solution enables healthier living environments by helping to prevent moisture-related issues in high-humidity areas, as well as making life easier for applicators and convertors by enabling excellent drying times and good blocking. At the same time, its excellent cleanability and resistance properties facilitate beautiful, longer-lasting paint finishes across a wide range of substrates and application areas. Furthermore, with low volatile organic compound content and compliance with all major regulation and labelling requirements, NeoCryl® HP-4000 is driving wall paint safety and sustainability to new levels.
Gerjan van Laar, Segment Marketing Manager EMEA, DSM Resins & Functional Materials said: "Our new NeoCryl® HP-4000 underlines our commitment to using science and innovation to create sustainable solutions that outperform conventional alternatives. A key resin within our decorative segment portfolio, NeoCryl® HP-4000 will help deliver wall paints for high-humidity areas that offer high functional, aesthetic, and sustainable performance. Together with our partners in the decorative coatings industry, we are ready to drive sustainable living standards to new levels!”
