In its General Assembly in Madrid at the end of January, Eurocolour, the European umbrella organisation of the manufacturers of colourants and others, elected a new Presidential Board with Stefan Sütterlin, Sun Chemical Colors & Effects GmbH, as President and Paco Nácher, Fritta SLU, as Vice President.
The association’s activities currently focus on the regulation of nanomaterials in consumer products, the regulation of food contact materials such as plastics and ceramics and, of course, the EU Commission’s Green Deal. The planned revision of chemicals legislation and new environmental and sustainability requirements are having a major impact on its members.
“Combined with the general economic outlook, which continues to point towards recession, the regulatory burden created by the Commission’s Green Deal activities is a major challenge for European manufacturers,” summarised President Stefan Sütterlin.
Eurocolour is the European umbrella organisation for the manufacturers of pigments, dyes, fillers and products for ceramic decoration.
