PPG Industries announced it has closed on its acquisition of Revocoat, a global supplier of sealants, adhesives and damper products for the automotive industry.
PPG first announced it had entered into exclusive negotiations with the Axson Group to acquire Revocoat in December. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
"The addition of Revocoat to our automotive coatings business strengthens PPG’s global automotive adhesive and sealants product and technology offerings, enabling us to better serve our automotive customers around the world,” Cindy Niekamp, PPG Senior Vice President of automotive original equipment manufacturer coatings, said in a statement.
Revocoat, which is headquartered in France, employs more than 500 people and operates eight manufacturing facilities and one research and development centre.
