drupa 2012 in Düsseldorf, and Flint Group opened up the ‘Schrebergarten’ once again. Guests to the garden venue, just five minutes walk from the fair, were spoiled for choice with crunchy grilled specialities and delicacies from all over the world. About 2,500 visitors took the opportunity to chill out and relax in a pleasant and laid-back atmosphere with personal, as well as professional discussions, after a stressful day at the fair. A special highlight was the draw for a third generation iPad on three separate evenings.
One iPad 3 was awarded to Joerg Zaegelein, Quality Management Verlag Nuernberger Presse. This publishing company has been highly successful in the market for many years, and since changing to coldset printing in 2002, they have received numerous awards from the international Newspaper Colour Quality Club (INCQC) as one of the best newspaper printing plants in the world. The INCQC, the only global quality printing competition for newspapers, has its focus on the improvement of reproduction and print quality. "Verlag Nuernberger Presse and Flint Group have enjoyed an excellent working relationship for decades now”, says Bernd Blessing, Sales Manager Flint Group Print Media Europe, "therefore we are really pleased that Verlag Nuernberger Presse is one of the lucky winners.”
Second winner of the award was Thomas Fuchs, operations project manager at Mondi Industrial Bags in Vienna. The company operates out of two geographical divisions, Mondi Europe & International, and Mondi South Africa, which deliver customers all over the world with products ranging from office paper, corrugated and kraft paper to industrial bags. From Vienna, Mondi Bags Austria serves the Austrian market mainly with packaging products for the cement and building materials industry.
