Troy to feature advanced preservatives & additives at ECS

07 March 2013

Troy Corporation will be exhibiting at the European Coatings Show ECS 2013 in Nuremberg, Germany from March 19-21 in Hall 7A, Stand 125. The exhibit will highlight how formulators can reach their performance and cost targets by using Troy’s advanced, high-performance products combined with industry leading technical support services. "With a broad line of innovative, high performance dry-film and wet-state preservatives and performance additives product lines, Troy enables manufacturers to achieve compliance and cost savings while maintaining or exceeding performance goals,” says W. Brian Smith, Vice President, Troy Corporation. "Troy products provide industry-leading efficacy at low use levels, translating into benchmark cost-in-use.”

Advanced Dry-Film Preservatives
Troy will be introducing several new, innovative Troysan® Controlled Release (TCR) preservatives, which offer improved leaching resistance, long-lasting protection against algal growth, and an excellent environmental profile. TCR preservatives deliver optimum protection at very low use levels in a low VOC, Diuron-free package that requires no N-label at typical dosages. Troy’s Polyphase® preservatives address some of the biggest concerns of the paint and coatings industry today, namely performance, cost efficiency, and favorable environmental attributes. Polyphase 636 & 920 for solvent-based decorative coatings and wood preservatives provide protection against fungi, are highly effective at low use levels, and are EU label-free at typical dosages. Polyphase 828 & 899 for exterior waterborne coating systems offer broad-spectrum protection against fungi & algae, are free of VOCs, Isothiazolinones, & Diuron, and are N label-free at typical dosages.

Wet-State Preservatives & Performance Additives
Troy will also be promoting several high-performance, cost-efficient Mergal® wet-state preservatives, which provide materials protection at very low use levels. Many Mergal products are low- or zero-VOC and formaldehyde-free for today’s ‘green’ coatings. Troy’s Performance Additives include a wide range of multifunctional products for optimum surface appearance and the elimination of surface defects. Additives in Troy’s Z-line, such as the new Troysol™ Z370 universal wetting and mar & slip additive, are free of VOCs, HAPs (hazardous air pollutants), and APE (alkylphenol ethoxylates).
