Global and China powder coating industry examined in new report

The demand for powder coatings has considerably increased over the past few decades the world over given their lower environmental impact if compared to other coatings. At present, powder coatings are widely used in the automotive industry, home appliances, architecture, etc. As a result, their share in coating finished product structure amounted to 20% in 2010, while it was 8% in 1995. In China, their share is estimated at 11%.
However, powder coatings continue to gain popularity in the country. In 2012, China produced about 1.1Mt of powder coatings, an increase by 7% yr-on-yr.
